"Twelve South is known for making great products that don't just look really cool, but they all serve higher functions without losing focus on maintaining simplicity."

And once again they have created something that if functional as well as cool looking. The HoverBar is an adjustable arm that attaches to any iMac or Apple Display, and holds your iPad. It's available now for $79.99 at the Twelve South site.

PlugBug From Twelve South, A Novel Add-On to Your MacBook Power Adapter

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 01:00 AM

Twelve South is no stranger to Mac, having made many accessory items over the years such as Book Arc and the MagicWand. These have all been very innovative and well designed products, and the current offering is no different. In fact, the beauty of this product is in it's simplicity, one of those products that make you wonder "why didn't I think of this?" The product I'm talking about is the PlugBug. This handy device, retailing for $34.99 USD [affiliate link], piggybacks onto your existing MacBook charger and adds a 10 watt USB port, plenty enough power to charge your iPhone or your iPad. You might think "what is the big deal about that?" Well read on and I'll enlighten you!

The Twelve South BookBook iPad Case: Clever and Cool

Posted by Jason Dunn in "Laptop Thoughts Accessories" @ 07:00 AM

This is my review of the Twelve South BookBook, a very creative and clever carrying case for the iPad and iPad 2. Ever wanted to carry your iPad in stealth mode, hiding the fact that you have an expensive tablet computer on you? Then this is the case for you. Available in two colours - Classic Black or Vibrant Red - this case is a leather-bound, hand-distressed, very novel way to protect and carry your iPad or iPad 2. The BookBook can be purchased via the Laptop Thoughts Amazon store for $69.99 USD.

Interested in the skin on the iPad 2? You can get it from DecalGirl [Affiliate].

Jason Dunn owns and operates Thoughts Media Inc., a company dedicated to creating the best in online communities. He enjoys photography, mobile devices, blogging, digital media content creation/editing, and pretty much all technology. He lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with his lovely wife, his wonderful son Logan, and his sometimes obedient dog. He's in the midst of a pretty big process right now - he hopes it goes well.

Twelve South With Unique Way to Merge Wireless Keyboard and Trackpad

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Other Apple Hardware" @ 08:00 AM

http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ba...d-wireless-key/

"Young though it may be, Twelve South has become a reliable source of smart accessories for Apple users over the past year and a half. MacBooks notably benefitted from the sturdy BookArc stand, iPad users more recently received the super-sharp portable Compass, and now desktop Mac users are getting in on the action with MagicWand ($30), a typically well-named accessory aimed at users of Apple's Wireless Keyboard and Magic Trackpad."

What a simple yet effective way to merge the two accessories. Other than having to deal with issues like the power button on the keyboard being blocked, and the battery access point blocked on the trackpad requiring you to disassemble it partially to access these points, it appears to do the job of joining both peripherals.

A "Book" Cover for Your MacBook

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Laptops" @ 12:00 PM

http://www.macworld.com/article/145...ss_products_mac

"Ever wish your MacBook was a little more, well, bookish? If so, you're in luck! The folks at Twelve South are putting the 'book' in 'MacBook' with the aptly named BookBook case."

At $79.95 USD for the 13-inch MacBook, it is a bit bulky for my tastes. But if you want a novelty cover that is unique, perhaps is what you are looking for. It doesn't really appeal to me, but to each his own.
