Get a Deal on Refurbished iPads From Apple

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 01:29 PM

"Apple today lowered the prices of its refurbed iPads across the board."

Pretty good deals if you haven't upgraded already. And refurbished from Apple is like getting a new one, same warranty and packaging as new. You can find a complete list of the deals over at MacRumors.

Have You Considered a Refurbished Mac?

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple News" @ 03:00 AM

"Maybe you're a college student. Maybe you're one of America's vast numbers of un- and under-employed workers. Maybe you're simply frugal. Whatever the case, the situation facing you is this: You're on a budget, you need a new computer, but even with limited cash you'd rather not buy an inexpensive Windows-based PC-you're an Apple fan and don't want to switch. What to do?"

One obvious solution is, of course, to go the refurb route and check out the savings you can get, usually 10 to 20 % off the original prices. Sometimes you can get more, if you are lucky, but all come with the standard warranty as well as the optional Apple Care. I've purchased refurbished Macs in the past, and probably will do so in the future, and have yet to have a problem with any of them. They are basically new to be honest, so it's worth considering if you want to save a little cash. What are your thoughts? Ever purchased refurb?

AT&T Offers Deal on iPhone 3GS for $9.00 USD

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 03:00 PM

"Earlier this year, AT&T lowered the subsidized price of the iPhone 3GS to $49. Now, AT&T is offering refurbished 3GS' for just $9 with a two-year contract."

You can check out the deal here at AT&T's website, but basically they are giving you a $90.00 USD credit when you sign up for a 2 year plan, which means the iPhone 3GS will cost you a whopping $9.00 USD.

Get a Deal on an iPad From Apple, Refurbished of Course

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 11:30 AM

"It was just two months ago that refurbished iPads first hit the Apple Store, bringing a $50 savings to all three Wi-Fi models. (Since then, Apple has added the 3G iPads to the refurb catalog as well, again at a $50 discount.)"

If you are interested in saving a little money on an iPad that is just as good as new, check out the list here at Apple. The prices range from $50.00 USD to $100.00 USD off depending on the model. I've always had good luck with refurbished equipment purchased from Apple, and they treat it like a new product as far as they warranty goes too. On another note, are they selling these at a discount to make room for new models? What are your thoughts?

Deal on MacBook in Apple Store

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Laptops" @ 10:00 AM

Deal on a refurbished MacBook if you are in the market. I have purchased a few items via the refurb route and haven't had any problems. Good deal if you are in the market for one, if so head on over to Apple.

Still no iPhone? AT&T Drops Prices on Refurbs

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone & iPod Touch" @ 08:00 AM

http://www.insanely-great.com/news.php?id=10309

"16 GB now available for $149. It's almost like AT&T is blowing out inventory for something. On its Website, the mobile provider chopped the prices on refurbished iPhones. Customers, with a two year agreement, can pick up a black 8 GB iPhone for $99, and a black or white 16 GB iPhone for $149."

Sounds like they are clearing out inventory, even though they are refurbished. Or just trying to drum up demand in the midst of all the rumors about Apple coming out with a new iPhone this June. Either way its a good deal on a refurbished iPhone. The 8 GB version, if you can find them, is at last word still priced at $99.00 USD.

Refurbished 3Gs at the AT&T Store Available Now!

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone & iPod Touch" @ 08:00 AM

http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105...tag=mncol;title

"If you're looking to jump into the iPhone world, now might be a good time. AT&T is again offering refurbished iPhones on its Web site, but this time with even better deals."

I just checked the AT&T site and they are still offering them so get 'em while they are hot! Seriously, though, it is a pretty good price for a refurbished iPhone 3G. They are offering 8GB for $99USD and either the black or white 16GB version for $199USD. If I didn't already have one, I would seriously consider it now (that is if you can get past the two-year commitment and switching to AT&T).
