Disney World App Provides All You Need to Know

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad)" @ 02:00 AM

http://appadvice.com/appnn/2011/04/...rld-app-updated

"Travelers planning a trip to Walt Disney World this year should consider purchasing a recently updated app for the iPhone/iPod touch. The $3.99 Walt Disney World Notecast app includes everything you need to know about the Orlando, Florida resort."

The best thing about this app [affiliate link] is that you don't even have to have an Internet connection to take advantage of all the information since it is stored within the app. This includes 300 pages of information along with 750 photos making it a pretty good choice for your in-park guide. Also included is information from Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom.

Going to Macworld Expo? There's An App For That

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch)" @ 10:00 AM

http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/arti...rld_for_iphone/

"Macworld Expo's iMacworld 2.0 app for the iPhone and iPod touch is available at Apple's iTunes-based App Store in time for the show's February 9 kick-off."

If you are going, this will be a handy app to get around, since it has information on all the vendors and locations at the Expo. It also lists all the speakers and conference sessions as well as giving you the search ability for all events and products during the Expo, which runs from February 9th through February 13th, 2010 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. More info on the Expo at their Web site.

Track The Tweet

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch)" @ 10:00 AM

http://appadvice.com/appnn/2009/12/...phone-maps-app/

"We keep seeing more and more geolocation aware or augmented reality twitter apps, but if it's getting too confusing to you why not simply use the built-in maps application?"

If you care about tracking where they tweets are coming from, geographically that is, simply pull up your map on the iphone and enter the following:

http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/[the username].rss

Obviously you want to replace [the username] with the name of the tweeter, then it will track on your map. Not sure I'd ever need this, unless, like the article says, I was on a manhunt for a twitter fiend.

Google Earth 2.0 for iPhone/iPod Touch

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch)" @ 07:00 AM

http://google-latlong.blogspot.com/...for-iphone.html

"Just over one year ago, we unveiled Google Earth for the iPhone and iPod touch. Google Earth quickly became one of the most popular applications in the App Store, and after only six months, was the second most-downloaded free application overall."

And now they have released version 2.0 with more languages, more places to visit and, wait for it, still free!
