An Incentive From Intuit to use GoPayment

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 12:49 PM

http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/12/...-through-febru/

"Perhaps just to show that it is not hip to be a Square, Intuit has rolled out a serious incentive for businesses to jump on the GoPayment bandwagon."

The big one is no monthly service fees, and only $0.15 per transaction fees just sweetens the pot. The icing on the cake is they are also sending you a normally $179.95 USD Mophie Card Reader to use with your iPhone. It's for new customers only, but if you are interested you can find out more at the Intuit GoPayment site.

"Intuit released Tuesday QuickBooks 2009 for Mac R8.2 patch for Snow Leopard, a patch that brings support for QuickBooks to Snow Leopard. QuickBooks is Intuit's small business accounting solution."

Free update from Intuit, addresses several crashing and printing issues, not necessarily in that order. You can get it at the Intuit site.

Intuit Delays Quicken for Mac Version Until 2010

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 12:00 PM

http://www.appleinsider.com/article...ed_to_2010.html

"Looking to quash rumors that it will may never get around to releasing a once publicized overhaul to Quicken for the Mac, Intuit announced Thursday that the latest iteration of its financial management software will finally arrive in February of 2010."

I don't know about you but I'd rather buy a program that works rather than one that has been rushed out. Granted, 2 years from the announcement is well beyond rushed out, but it sounds like they are taking into consideration input from the beta groups and tweaking the program to make it more user friendly. I just hope they come out with an app for the iPhone that will sync with the desktop, that would make this a must buy for me. How about you, what program  or programs do you use to keep track of your financial life?
