Dijit Adds Their App to the TV Listings Crowd

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad)" @ 03:00 AM

"Users are increasingly using the iPad as a companion device while watching TV, whether as a way to find out more about the show they're watching, or to check out what's next. And so, there are a growing number of apps popping up that help users navigate their TV program guides."

I pretty much use the TV Guide app, which is also universal, when I need to check out what is going to be up next on the box, but I kinda like the interface with this app. This one also adds Facebook, Wikipedia and YouTube integration as well as giving you a remote control interface. To use the remote you need an IR adapter however.

"Planning a visit to a U.S. national park this summer? Now is the perfect time to download five of the best iPhone/iPod touch guides in the App Store for absolutely free."

Each one of the five Chimani Park guides [link] is now available free, in celebration of National Park Week which runs through the 24th of April. So best hurry if you want these, and even if you don't plan on going to them right away, you can always save them for later in iTunes. They are large files at over 300MB each, and you can get guides for Acadia National Park, Cape Cod National Seashore, Yosemite National Park, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and Grand Canyon National Park.

Free iPad 2 Starter Guide from Macworld

Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 03:00 AM

http://www.macworld.com/article/159...logs_ioscentral

"So, you've braved the weeks of waiting and the long Apple Store lines and finally gotten your hands on a new iPad 2. You've taken your first step into a larger world-now it's time to put your shiny new tablet to work. Start by learning all the iPad 2 basics with Macworld's new iPad 2 Starter Guide, available for free in the iBookstore."

You can see the other Superguides here, but this one is a briefer version called a "Starter Guide," specifically for the iPad 2, and best of all it is free. Simple to obtain, just click on this link from your iOS device (has to be from iOS device since their iBookstore only works on them) and download it. What are you waiting for?
