Welcome to the Pre-Order Fiasco Korea!

"It's becoming a trend with iPhone 4 pre-sales: huge demand equals overwhelmed sites. It was no different in Korea, where consumers deluged carrier KT's website. Before the site went down ,the carrier (and its 2900 retail locations) Wednesday pre-sold 130,000 iPhone 4s in 13 hours - or 10,000 Apple handsets per hour."
Nice to know other countries are not immune to the "iPhone curse!" This isn't close to the 600,000 pre-order figure in the US, but it's about ten times as many as they had for the 3GS launch in 2009 (14,500). In comparison, the Android handset by Samsung called the Galaxy-5 sold 600,000 units, but it took them 19 days to accomplish that figure. I'm pretty sure the iPhone 4 is going to surpass that figure based on what they have already sold.
