Currently you can subscribe (like I do) to Popular Mechanics via Zinio [link], for a monthly fee of $12.00 USD per year, and it's a pretty good deal since you can read it on your computer running Windows, OS X or Linux [link], or iPhone or iPad via the Zinio universal app [link]. This is a bit different, and more interactive [link]. The interactivity is an advantage over Zinio, and some are calling this the future of magazines on the iPad. I certainly hope so!
