iPhone 4 Users: Wash Your Hands!
Posted by Michael Knutson in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 11:30 AM
"Many people have been debating the reasons why some users are having signal problems with Apple's latest iPhone 4G, and specifically, why the iPhone was able to pass Apple's stringent testing."
Mom always said, "wash your hands!" This seems to make sense today as an iPhone 4 user. Damp, sweaty hands can interfere with the iPhone 4's ability to get/keep a signal, according to an anonymous biochemist in the UK. Testing under lab conditions wouldn't discover this effect, since engineers test in a controlled environment, and not outside under hot, humid conditions. So it seems that the iPhone 4 "Bumper" ( link ) or any cover that keeps hands (dirty or clean) from directly touching the metal outside frame may help prevent signal degradation.
