iPad Security Breach, Does it Matter? Or is Tate Just Bitter?

"AT&T accidentally exposed a whole bunch of iPad customers' email addresses. Oh dear! But wait, I'm an AT&T customer! And I have an iPad! Should I be worried? And what exactly was exposed here?"
The story appeared yesterday, noting that over 100,000 email addresses were obtained by a group of hackers that exposed a security hole in AT&T, and which could leave them "vulnerable to spam marketing and malicious hacking." The exposure of the ICC-ID associated with each email poses minimal, if any, risk from what I've read, so the worst that will happen is they will possibly get spammed. The bigger issue is the breach and the exposure, however limited, that AT&T caused for it's customers, and to a lesser extent Apple since it is their device. Just more bad press for AT&T. The most interesting thing about the story was the way it was written. The writer seemed pretty eager to throw the blame on Apple, when in fact it was AT&T that had the leak. You could almost say Ryan Tate was bitter, I wonder why?
