Amtrak to Provide Wi-Fi on the Acela Express
Posted by Jeff Campbell in "The Competition" @ 08:00 AM
"After a trial run that proved to be a great success, Amtrak has said it will make free Wi-Fi access standard on its Acela Express trains. After a three month test period, the Washington, DC to Boston run will be the first route to get the service, with more being added in the future. During the trial, 39 percent of riders, or about 115,000, signed on."
They say they have tested it, I'm curious how well it actually works. But good for them for at least providing it for free. The Amtrak Acela Express runs from Boston, through New York and Philadelphia, and down to Washington D.C. The service is set to start in the late fall of this year.
