Apple Shutting Down Lala
Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 01:00 PM
"When Apple acquired music streaming service Lala year, almost everyone assumed that iTunes' tenth iteration would find Apple's music syncing software re-envisioned as a service which allowed users to stream their tunes from anywhere without actually having their musics locally stored."
He brings up an interesting point regarding timing. The shutdown is to occur on May 31st, shortly before WWDC, so is this a sign that iTunes will be incorporating some type of streaming? I'm not so sure on it based on the theme of WWDC and its orientation this year towards apps versus OS X software. But it does give one food for thought, what are yours?
