Apple Thoughts: Can We Have Our iPhone Back?

I'm sure you are all aware of the news over the last few days, about the "4G" iPhone in the wild. Skepticism turned towards belief as more details emerged about the iPhone that was lost in a bar and reported by Gizmodo, who in turn paid a few bucks to get it in their offices. Now it appears Apple legal has sent them a letter demanding the "property" be returned (and has been returned according to Cult of Mac). So it all adds up to either a bad luck story for the engineer that lost it or a well planned PR scheme. What are your thoughts about the "new look" and the idea that this may have been just a huge PR event?
