Several Updates Yesterday From Apple
Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 09:00 AM
"Apple on Wednesday afternoon issued a number of updates, addressing high processor usage and other glitches in its 27-inch iMac, as well as various security updates for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard."
Not only did Apple release updates yesterday for the 27-inch iMac and for their Server Admin Tools, they also issued a patch to fix a security vulnerability that was identified by Charlie Miller in the annual Pwn2Own contest. The 27-inch iMac "EFI FW Update 1.0" update "resolves an issue that sometimes caused high processor utilization while playing audio through the headphone output mini-jack, and resolves an issue that prevented the display backlight from turning on after powering on the iMac." You can find more information about the security updates from Apple's support page.
