Apple Thoughts: ACU Makes iPhone/iPod Touch Part of the Educational Process

"'An Apple iPhone or iPod touch will become a central part of Abilene Christian University's innovative learning experience this fall when all freshmen are provided one of these converged media devices,' said Phil Schubert, ACU executive vice president."

ACU becomes the first university in the US to provide these types of devices to the incoming freshmen class. The students will use them to get homework alerts, check account balances and answer various quizzes as well as keep "connected" with the university mobile learning site.
