Apple Thoughts: Apple to Sell Their Point of Sale System?

"Businesses of all sizes have reached out to Apple with interest in its iPod touch-based point-of-sale system, which recently debuted at the Mac maker's stores."

This is the iPod based touch system called "Easy Pay" that is in process of replacing the Windows CE system Apple retail stores had been using for years. It appears that Apple has been getting quite a few inquiries on this new system and is pondering selling it based on how they are reacting to the inquiries. Apple is, instead of advising the system is proprietary and not for sale, taking information from the prospective buyers. Smart move, especially if this works as well as the Apple sales staff says it does.
