Apple Thoughts: Telus and Bell Will Sell iPhone in Canada

"Many Canadians are cheering as Telus and Bell announced plans Tuesday to begin selling Apple's popular iPhone, ending Rogers reign as the exclusive iPhone carrier in Canada."

Both companies will begin selling the iPhone in November of this year, after upgrading their networks to support HSPA (high-speed packet access), which is used by the iPhone. Both companies previously had CDMA networks. This will give Canadians three companies to choose from, as Rogers is the other company in Canada selling the iPhone.
