What is Your Price Point Limit?

"As David Barnard of AppCubby points out in a blog post that even the staunch advocates of the $10 price point for premium apps may be giving in and reducing their prices."
Super Monkey Ball started the ball rolling, so to speak, for the $9.99 USD premium app pricing point. According to the article, they have found that the price point developers are settling into is the $3.99 USD to $4.99 USD range but they think consumers may be shopping with the wrong focus. The focus seems to be comparing the price of apps to one another instead of the value you will get out of the app. I think it may be a combination and those two points aren't exactly mutually exclusive. If I can find an app that gives me what I'm looking for that is a buck or two cheaper, isn't that focusing on both value and price comparisons? What is your limit on apps? How do you judge what you will spend?
