Interested in Genealogy? Give This Public Beta a Try

"German software developer Synium announced the release of its MacFamilyTree 5.5 public beta on Tuesday. The application adds a History Database for the user to browse hundreds of predefined historical entries or add world and personal history events as well as a completely rewritten database engine to deliver faster response times, even with huge family trees."
This requires a Mac with Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later and ATI Radeon 7500, Intel GMA 950 or NVidia GeForce 4 MX graphics chipset or better in order to run. This has multiple display options, and the added iPhone capability sounds like a plus. I have yet to give it a go, but this is something that we have been thinking about doing recently so now may be just the right time to start. This retails for $49.00USD and upgrades can be purchased for $25.00USD.
