Apple Thoughts: iPhone 3.0 Beta Version 2 Released

"Earlier today, iPhone OS 3.0 beta 2 was released to developers. The big news is that push notifications and in-app purchasing followed this release, giving developers a chance to try them out. Engadget has reported on significant instability with beta 1, so here's hoping that's been improved."

Among the improvements were speed and stability, always a good thing! Developers also report that this takes care of a number of bugs that were in the first version, and several components such as Bluetooth, MapKit and GameKit received special attention. They are also supporting MMS and tethering with this, however Apple is asking developers not to use it at this time. So cruel teasing them like that! The beta is available, of course, from Apple.
