MacHeist 3 Bundle Released
Posted by Michael Barrett in "Apple Talk" @ 08:00 AM
Wow. If you didn't watch the MacHeist 3 Bundle Reveal Show, you missed seeing two beautiful ladies on camera for the better part of an hour. Veronica Belmont and Lisa Bettany were joined by Chris Pirillo as they announced this year's MacHeist bundle.
Like I said before, wow! There are a couple apps in the bundle that made it totally worth purchasing, at the very, very low (and very, very reasonable) rate of $39. As a newbie to the Mac scene I was quite impressed with the amount of software added to the total package. I have never seen such a bundle put together for Windows users. Well, let me rephrase that. I have never seen a bundle of useful, well designed software such as these, put together and released for users in the Windows environment that most Windows users would want to install on their machines. I hope that made sense, without hurting anyone's feelings.
This year's bundle includes iSale, Picturesque, SousChef, World of Goo, PhoneView, LittleSnapper, Acorn, and Kinemac. If you are one of the first 25,000 people to purchase the bundle, like I was, you also get Big Bang Board Games. I am looking forward to installing SousChef. I love to spend time in the kitchen and that little application is going to make those dinner plates a lot more interesting. There are four more apps included in the bundle that will be unlocked based on the amount of money raised for charity (you get to choose from a selection of charities when you make your purchase). The four "to be unlocked" apps are WireTap Studio, BoinxTV, The Hit List, and Espresso. To be honest, the reason I jumped at the chance to grab this year's bundle was because of those last four. The Hit List will make managing my day a lot easier, and I am anxious to work with WireTap Studio and BoinxTV, but I really, really, want Espresso. I'm a code monkey at heart and Espresso is pulling my strings.
Why not jump over to MacHeist and grab a bundle for yourself. It's only available for 14 days, you'll be helping people in need, and you'll get some great applications to make your Mac even better than it is today.
