Frustrated Developer Jumps Ahead With Ad-Hoc Installs

"Perplexed by "the cryptic review and approval process Apple uses on iPhone applications submitted to the App Store," Rapadev LLC says they'll make their ProcessAway app for the iPhone and iPod touch available by request from their web site. It allows users to process credit cards directly from their device."

As much as the App Store is a good thing, it has to be frustrating to be a developer trying to get something through the morass that is the approval process at Apple. While I understand that there's probably a gigantic number of apps flowing through, Apple really does need to start hauling you-know-what to get apps approved quicker. Once the development cycle is over, every minute an app isn't on sale is a money losing minute and that's amplified greatly for smaller developers.
