Google Sync Adds Three Features to iOS Clients
Posted by Michael Knutson in "The Competition" @ 10:30 PM
"Google just announced on its Mobile Blog that Google Sync is getting three useful new features for iPhone and iPad users. Google Sync, in case you don't know, is a service that enables you to set up your Gmail as a Microsoft Exchange Server on your iOS device. Here's our how-to for Google Sync on iPhone."
The first new feature adds "search on server" to locate email missing on the iOS device. This is in addition to existing local search. The second feature adds processing of Google Calendar events on iOS, and the third feature adds "send as" to outgoing email, so that your other sender addresses may be used with linked Google accounts. Nice enhancements for iOS users.
