Skype 5 For Mac Now Available
Posted by Joe Johaneman in "Apple Software (OS X)" @ 07:00 AM
"Skype 5 for Mac left beta today, bringing with it new group video chat features, improvements, and a new design. The development team behind Skype for Mac listened to user concerns and complaints, which were numerous, and made changes to the final version accordingly."
There have been a lot of complaints about the new interface, but I personally like it. Yes, it's larger than the last version of Skype for Mac, but they've made significant changes since the beta, and I'm sure it'll only get better. I especially like the integration with Address Book (rather than the Address Book import from the last version) and the return of full screen video calling. Since I never plan on using the group video feature, I'm not really concerned that it's now a pay service. What do you think of Skype 5?
