Apple Thoughts: Google Latitude for iPhone

"After a slight case of premature app-storification, Google Latitude for iPhone is now officially and properly available for download."

So what does Latitude from Google do for you? You can share your location throughout the day with any of your friends or family, and also see them on your map. In case you don't want to be too accessible there are several levels of privacy so you can still hide if you need to be off the grid. It's free if you want to throw yourself out there, and available now in iTunes [link]. I'm undecided on giving this one a try, what are your thoughts?
