Hollywood Loves the iPad
Posted by Jeff Campbell in "Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad" @ 03:00 AM
"Last month at a meeting in Hollywood, it was time to plot out the sequel to "Star Trek," last year's blockbuster reboot of the sci-fi franchise. The attendees all brought smartphones - gadgets far more powerful than the videophones imagined by the "Star Trek" writers 40 years ago. Bob Orci brought something the writers back then could only dream of: an iPad."
Script revisions show up digitally, saving lots of paper when script writers come up with new ideas, just one way some actors are utilizing the iPad. There is also an app (free no less) called "Rehearsal" available for the iPad, as well as the iPhone, that lets actors practice their lines. And with approximately 2,500 sightings of Apple products this year on TV alone, you could say that Apple products are beloved by those in the TV and film industry. Who can blame them right?
