iPad Eating Up Laptop Sales Per Best Buy

"Best Buy CEO Brian Dun claims the iPad has cannibalized sales of PC laptops by as much as 50 per cent."
Dun made the remarks about the iPad during an interview with the Wall Street Journal, and I can see the validity of it. A co-worker has been eyeing my iPad over the last few months and said that his plan is to dump his Dell laptop and instead of buying another laptop he is going to buy an iPad. Perhaps two, one for him and one for his wife. With the updates in the new iOS coming out, it makes it even more appealing. I know there is a place for laptops but for those that are on the fence and don't need the power and options of a laptop, it seems the iPad is filling their needs. What are your thoughts?
